At the price of onion soaked!

Suddenly the price of onion has risen in the country's market for several days. Within a short span of about ten rupees, According to the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), the price of two varieties of onion and imported varieties increased by the week's time. Traders said the price has increased slightly due to the rain caused due to rain. Apart from this, onion prices in India increased due to the imported onion prices. But they say this situation is temporary.
According to TCB, domestic onion is being sold at Tk 40 to Tk 45. Imported onion is being sold at Tk 30-35. Last week, the price of onion was about 32 taka per kg. The imported onion was priced at Tk 25-30.
On the way, retailers are demanding 45 paisa per day onion onion in the capital city of Karwan Bazar. Wholesale traders want Tk 42 per kg. Sheawerpara and Kanthalbagan bazaar also saw the onion sold at the same rate. On the other hand, Indian onions sells at Tk 40 a kg.
Today, the wholesale price of onion onion prices in Shyambazar is Tk 36 to 37. Imported onion price is 35 paise. Prices of around 10 paisa more than last week.

Market-related people think prices are rising as the onion supply is low in India. Onion is more cultivated in the country of Gujarat. There has been extensive flooding due to heavy rain. Lakhs of acres of crops have been destroyed with losses. In addition to this crop has been delayed in Karnataka. So onion prices started to rise in India in early August.
The market of onion market in India also took place in Bangladesh market. Bangladesh mainly imports onion from India. So, there is some impact of the onion prices in the Indian market, and also in Bangladesh market.
Asked if Narayan Saha, owner of the new traders of Shyambazar in Dhaka, said, "In India, floods have been created due to rain for a long time. We import Patna onion, South Vellori and Nasic onions from India. The import of Patna and South Vellori are closed due to their country's rain. Basically, nasi imports are now underway. No onion except niacal has not been in the market. So the price is over. '
However, Narayan Saha said that the situation is temporary. He said that import of onion from Pakistan and Myanmar will be increased next week. Then the market will decrease again.
Shamsur Rahman, former President of the C & F Association of Benapole Land Port of Jessore, said there was a crisis of onion in the country's market by rain and flood. But now the import has increased a lot. In July, 10 thousand 139 tonnes of onion was imported by Benapole. It was 2,484 tons in June last year.
