Sylhet Sixers won the toss in three matches. But the team did not take too much time to get to the ground. Nasir Hossain's team now has a lot of pressure on losing the two matches. Earlier, Shahid Afridi and Sunil Narine bowled under the pressure of bowling only 101 runs to Sylhet. In reply, Afridi and Evin Lewis took two wickets in 47 balls to win the match.
Afridi stormed into the first round after chasing a modest 102 runs. He scored 37 runs in five huge sixes in just 17 balls. England pacer Tim Bresnan returned to Cameron Delport after Afridi returned to 59 in the team. Then began the batting eruption, Evin Lewis. The barribean batsman, who remained unbeaten on 44 runs, scored six runs in four balls with 18 balls. On the other hand, skipper Shakib Al Hasan was unbeaten on 18 runs from 11 balls.
Earlier, after batting first, the batsmen got humiliated after one over Sylhet in front of Afridi-Narine's spin. Half Centurion Upul Tharanga, in the first three matches, has returned just one run. Then Sabbir Rahman also got one run back. Nine battingmen returned to the pavilion only to score 53 runs.
At one stage, the second lowest score of BPL (lowest run of 44, Khulna Titans, second lowest 58 runs, Barisal Bulls) was in front of Sylhet. But Abul Hassan and Taijul did not have to be ashamed of the strength. They added 48 runs in the 10th wicket partnership. Pacer Abul Hasan Raju scored 30 runs. Taijul 16 and Danakka Gunthilaka scored 15 runs. Apart from this, captain Nasir has 10 runs from the bat.
Shaheed Afridi took four wickets for Dhaka Dynamite. Apart from Sunil Narine, three and Abu Haider Roni grabbed two wickets.
